No equation would ever start with a zero…

26 June, Bramton. It was a time to open our eyes and fill the divine light inside as Maharaj Ji was seated on the stage and was willing to answer all the spiritual questions. A grand satsang arranged by Vashisht Family was attended by a large number of people. Considering the fact that generally Maharaj Ji doesn’t take part in programs outside, it was an event keenly sought-after. There were many questions asked and even many which were burried in hearts of aspirants but soon they all were reconciled for once and all when Maharaj Ji explained in his balanced, calm but deep-penetrating voice. Answering a popular question regarding wobbly state of mind, Maharaj Ji said that no equation ever starts with a zero, this is an eternal law of spirituality too…

To the fortune of all those who could afford to stay back Mharaj Ji agreed to celebrate the full moon and stayed back till 2:30 after midnight. Devotional songs and dance, chantings and meditation. It was as if nectar ‘Amrit’ is flowing all around. Everyone was raised to a higher plane beyond any awareness of body or mind.

Full Moon, a real boon for spiritual seeker

26 June, Brampton. It was time for monthly gathering at Nanaksar Gurudwara at 144 Kennedy Road in South Brampton being full moon night. In addition it was the occassion to memorise the day when Saint Kabir’s had assumed physical form in this physical world way back in 15th century AD. Sadhvi Yoganjali Chaitanya was the guest speaker for the occasion. Many renowned performers had already presented devotional songs and stories and few were still waiting for their turn when Sadhvi Ji arrived there. The whole atmosphere was serene, enchanted and prepared to assimilate divine nectar  by now. Sadhvi Ji’s appearance on stage caused a pin-drop silence. Her deep voice touched every soul when she explained to them the very idea behind celebrating full moon night. She told to them that this world is made of duality and thus follows a cycle at every level. Liberation means to break this cycle. Just like we have full moon every month but then it starts decreasing and consequently there is no moon. Spirituality aims at going beyond the cycle and add further light to full moon and not litting it diminish. This is what saint Kabir had done who crossed the cycle of even life and death so this occassion we all should realize the fact that we all are potentially divine and explore deep inside for the realself. The moon in the sky may fade away but if we could awaken the fire insidde navel by chanting the ‘Naam’ or the seed-mantra given by the ‘Guru’ or the spiritual master then it will enlighten the moon in the head region. Then all the ignorance and impediments would be eradicted and the spiritual moon will shine for ever.

25 June, Brampton. It was yet another meeting with little divine souls in Brampton. The atmosphere was full of fun and frolic and the talks were focused on all that is important for young sould e.g. television, junk food, sports and friends. It was mostly children who did the talking, Swami Ji just inspired them and gave inputs as and when required. And children did prove their wisdom as always as they came up with very simple yet effective solutions for many issues which cause headache to their parents. Like they themselves agreed that 2 hours were enough for watching television as there were other priorities too such as studies and sports. They showed their interest in family values but they were actually sick of being lectured all time. Even otherwise it is observed that children learn better by watching their elders rather than listening to them. There were many brain games too which kept children involved all the time and there were hidden messages in all those games for children to ponder upon. Kids participated with enthusiasm and learnt many things. In such an open atmosphere they could not resist to open up their hearts. They admitted their faults and ignorance and promised to work them over for a better self-image. It was very clear that there need to be an open communication to make a happy family.

24 June, Brampton. It was around 3 years back during a sadhna (meditation) camp when a young child from Gujrat insisted to celebrate his birthday. He was so young and cute that we could not turn his request down. We requested to Maharaj Ji and to our delight, He not only gave his nod but also suggested a totally new way to celebrate the birthday with vedic touch. His innovation was so fascinating that since then we get so many requests to celebrate birthday in similar fashion. Its not merely the design but the presence of Maharaj Ji and the effect of mantras is so energetic and inspirational that whosoever learns about it, wanna experience it personaly. This is why Amrin (D/o Paramjit & Rani Brar) waited for 7 days to celebrate her birthday in the divine presence of Maharaj Ji. Family and friends were gathered, butter lamps were lighted and then everyone transfered his/her wishes & energy with the help of mantra and the light to the Birthday lady. Everyone present there could deeply that the atmosphere was full of divine energy and was just blissful. Maharaj Ji explained to them that when the planetary arrangement reconstructs in which a person is born that time is really very effective to reconstruct the energy for that person. This is a time when it is easy to connect to the divine inside and if likeminded people are gathered and they could help this inward journey, it would be a real boon.

Saying farewell to Vancouver

Maharaj Ji talking to devotees on the eve of departing from Vancouver

22 June, Delta. It was time to say good-bye to vancouver after an eventful week here. In just a week time hundreds of people participated in various programs at different locations and learnt about various spiritual practices such as Surya Kriya, Agni Kriya & Sanjivani Kriya. They also learnt how to breathe completely and deeply and chant ‘Aum’ properly. There was so much in just one week that it was hard to bid farewell. Due to the radio interview with Harjinder Singh Thind, hundreds of aspirants managed to make use of this opporunity of learning mystic practices in its original form. Hundreds of questions were heared and answered and still there were more. Maharaj Ji patiently answered them all and inspired the aspirants to come up with more. He said that if you practice and ask, your consciousness evolves and expands further but if you just ask and don’t practice then only your ego grows big and bigger.

There were many who wanted to bear this torch in their hands so Maharaj Ji suggested them all to practice sincerely taking guidance from the ashram to experience the miracle for themselves. Then they would be properly trained and prepared to spread the light further.

If we can not love our fellow-beings…

Sadhvi Yoganjali Chaitanya & Swami Suryendu Puri at Surrey Temple

22 June, Surrey. If we can not love our fellow beings how can we love the God who dwells in their heart as much as in our heart, said Sadhvi Yoganjali Chaitanya talking to the devotees in the Surrey temple. Sadhvi Ji said to them that all these temples, gurudwaras, mosques, churches are but to bring the people together and provide them with opportunity to realize the God in one and all. If we worry only about our personal offering/worship and keep no concern with the happenings or the people around than we have not understood the spiritual path yet. These limits can never connect us to the divine who is but unlimited. This is the idea of family and the society, to live in proper harmony with our circumstances. If we can do that it will be easy for us to harmonise our body with the mind and then with the soul. Further Swami Ji told to them that all these differences and struggle arise out of fear, the fear of extinction. If we could learn that the divine dwells in all the bodies then it will be easy for us to love each other. But for that first we need to recognize the divine within and for that first we need to start loving ourselves. Take good care of your body which is the temple of the God and your mind which is a divine vehicle by giving good diet and some healthy exercise. If we could feel our own body and the mind then it will be easy to connect to the soul and then we will be able to feel for others too. Then our consciousness will not be confined within this bodily limits and would exoand to assosiate and harmonize with one and all.

Swami Suryendu Puri at Vedic Hindu Soceity Temple in Surrey B.C.

21 June, Surrey. A greta number of aspirants from all the nearby towns had reached Vedic Hindu Society Temple of Surrey much before time to listen to Swami Suryendu Puri Ji. It was monday, the day devoted to Lord Shiva and so the event was started after Shiva-Abishek here. Even though the Sun was covered with the clouds people were very curious to learn about Surya Kriya as they had already learnt much about its marvellous effects on radio. Swami Ji told to them about the life giving property of the Sun and also taught them a safe method to connect to the Sun so that they could gain a good and complete health. Considering the fact that in Vancouver region Sun appears for very short time, Swami Ji told to them that if they can make Surya Kriya in summers as many days as they have the Sun then later on it would be possible to assimilate light from fire or a butter lamp too. By regularly doing Sun Meditation in proper fashion their inner channel will be activated and then it will be easy for them to absorb light rays even from such a weak source.

20 June, Delta. Most important duty of any parents is to give good education to their children and take care of all their needs and comfort. But lured by the materialistic race the focus is shifted to acquire more and more of materials and other means of comfort. Educating children about life, culture and religion is out of their priority list. As a result these days youngsters are loosing faith in their culture, religion and related affairs. They believe that life is meant to enjoy the world and worldly objects. As long you don’t harm or cheat anyone and work hard for comfort (mostly physical) of yourself, your family and if possible a little for the society, you don’t need to worry about God thing. They feel living such a life is spirituality. But this notion was broken when around twenty teen gathered to talk to Swami Suryendu Puri in Delta. After talking to Swami Ji they were all nothing less than amazed to realise that they spent all these years worrying about everything but for their self. They worry about their look, their gait, their possessions with single idea in their mind, how people would like it. Swami ji asked them to think about their real self who doesn’t need any accreditation for its existance whatsoever and cannot ever be satisfied by any means or matter. Swami asked the teens to work hard and enjoy all the positive aspects of life but not to become slave to any of them rather use them as per their need and will like a shrewd master. They need to learn that career or fun is just a part of life but the goal is to attain the perfection which is possible only by connecting to the perfect soul, the God. Until this perfection is acheived nothing in world or beyond would satisfy them.

Swami Suryendu Puri at Vedic Culture Society of Richmond B.C.

20 June, Richmond (B.C.). There was a parallel gathering at Vedic Culture Society in Richmond B.C. this sunday where Swami Suryendu Puri introduced to them the essence of the Vedas in form of Mission Immortality. The grandeur of the concept and the talk of simple yet mystical practices mesmerized them all. Some were amazed and entralled while few others were left totally dazed. Swami Ji told to them that the Vedas are not merely books but the experiences of enlightened saints and sages of ancient times. If we had to learn the Vedas, we will have to experience the same following their guidelines. Though every venture starts as an idea but unless that ideology is fueled by constructive thoughtprocess and brought forth to physical reality, it cannot help us much and it can never make us complete. So it is enough just to admire that eternal immortal soul whom we call God or Brahman in his own place. We rather need to connect to him identifying Him within and without. The Sun could offer a great help in this regard as He is a living sign and source of his majestic power. Though there is a proper methodology set up to connect to the Sun and through him to the divine but to start with one may meditate upon the Sun with closed eyes for around 30 minutes in the morning and also in the evening. This shall help detoxify and heal their body, purify their mind and turn it inwards and also establish a concrete connection with the immortal soul or the divine dwelling inside.

Maharaj Ji and Sadhvi Ji inspiring the devotees of Abbotsford and nearby towns

20 June, Abbotsford. Sunday morning the temple was full of devotees as Maharaj Ji was going to visit the temple along with Sadhvi Ji to meet and bless everyone there. It was all due to love and concern of Deepak Sharma Ji that Maharaj Ji had agreed to alter his otherwise strict schedule. First Sadhvi Ji inquired of all the devotees if they visit the temple seeking salvation or to fulfill their petty desires and then told them that until unless we desire the God himself, eternal joy cannot be attained. One should perform all his worldly duties carefully and reseponsibly but at the same time the Goal of Life should be never less than the Almighty himself. Later Maharaj Ji also told to them that all these temples and satsang and the scriptures are meant to guide an aspirant on the inner path. Until we dive deep inside we can never fly high in the spiritual sky. Moreover, this whole world and all the worldly beings are essentially divine in nature. So by recognizing him inside our own body we will be easily able to find him in all other bodies too.
