The programs conducted in ashram by Swami Ji are limited as his main emphasis is on personal practice. He himself remains locked in his room living on bare minimum liquid diet, practicing and writing. He comes out of his room once every month on the last Sunday that too for few hours afternoon.
At Malke Ashram
Annually he conducts three weeklong meditative workshops at ashram, one ending on Dashahra (generally in sep.-oct.) another ending on Shivratri (generally in feb.-march) and one during Christmas (in the last week of dec.). These workshops follow very strict schedule directly under his keen supervision. The day starts as early as 5:00 in the morning and ends by 8:00 in the night. In between SSKY, Asan, Pranayam, Meditation, Special Yogic Practices and lot many more things take place. But the schedule provides enough room every now and then to recharge and refresh everybody so that they don’t miss anything. The toughest and the best part is the maintenance of silence and light Satvic Diet. Swami Ji says that silence and bare minimum diet are the best and a must tools for advancement on spiritual path. Another gathering takes place in the ashram on the occasion of Guru Purnima. This is a festive time in ashram when devotees from all corners of world gather here for three days and pay their regards to their beloved Guru.
Kila Raipur Ashram
Apart from these regular events at Malke Ashram, Swami Ji rarely visits other places. And even if he does so then only for some special reason and not to conduct any public program as such. It is during these visits he finds time to meet saints and sages of true practice. Even His visit to the cloister, Harisar Ashram at Kila Raipur are very few and far between except on annual ceremony of Prabhu Kambli Wale (Swami Ji’s Grand Guru) and Swami Dayal Puri Ji Maharaj (Swami Ji’s Guru), spiritual congregations or other occasions of particular importance.
Sometimes he just abandons everything and finds solitude in remote hills of Himalaya. And once in a while few true seekers and enthusiastic practitioner are allowed to accompany him and take full advantage of his divine presence and the divine serenity around. It is experienced that those are places of such high spiritual potential that even a novice could take a leap on the spiritual path.
Courses & Other Camps
SSS Foundation organizes various camps for SSKY in various cities as well as in ashram and also runs several courses to prepare instructors and trainers for SSKY and other practices. In addition to Kriya (practices) there are courses for meditation and music (classic) as well. The main idea is to help the society finding its path by spreading the authentic knowledge of age old scriptures and culture that is relevant to the present time. And so its all FREE; food, lodging, course material and other needs, all expenditure is borne by the foundation. And In turn the only expectation from the participants is sincere practice and selfless service.
Though SSS Foundation is not affiliated with any government institution or university for these courses and thus the certificate may not prove useful for routine educational purpose but still the knowledge delivered is much worthy than mere public accreditation and this may be learnt only by personal experience. The routine certificate courses conducted annually are as follows:
SSKY – Level I to III
The certificate course for each level takes at least a year but it finally depends on the personal practice and understanding. The participant is required to report in ashram every two months for instructions and tests. This takes just a week time and later practice back home or even in ashram as per choice. At the end of the year or when a candidate is in position to take up the test a panel is set to conduct the examinations verbal, written and practical. Candidates are also tested for public speaking, body language, clarity of thoughts and other traits of an impressive personality and are helped to achieve the best. So a candidate is expected to spend at least six weeks to get the certificate for one level. But home work is very much required and the course is designed in such a way that without practice it is not possible to get through.
Yogic Breathing & Transmutative Meditation
Such week long sessions are held twice a year concluding one on ‘Dashahra’ (generally in sep or oct) and the other on ‘Shivratri’ (in feb or march). In these sessions the main emphasis is on correcting the breathing and turning its force inward. A number of breathing and meditation techniques are used for the purpose and an interactive session is held to clear the deep rooted notions and habits which obstruct the spiritual progress. The final night is celebrated with music, Indian classical ragas of night hours are played for 12 long hours but in form of meditation which take the gathering to some other world.
Advance course in Transmutative Meditation
This session is generally held a day after the previous one so to start with ‘Dashahra’ & ‘Shivratri’. This session is exclusively meant for advance practitioner as it requires complete silence of all sense organs and uninterrupted meditation for 24 hours. The diet is also negligible containing just a glassful of water but some special techniques are taught using them the need for food and drink itself vanishes so that some participant stop taking water also. Last day, at the end of the session everyone has to go through regress energy test to prove they have not gone weak rather gained more energy and strength.
Music (Indian Classic) for Healing & Meditation
Childhood is music
Even the youth
And old age too.
If only one could see
The whole life is full of music!
And thus we may use this music to heal and soothe all our suffering and pain. This is what we teach at SSS Foundation to get back the melody in life instead of malady. Generally, people think that music is meant for others and that causes us to suffer, if we could realize even for a moment that music is very much personal and there could be no vivacity in life without music, needless to say that our life will be full of music and harmony as that is its true nature. In addition to the above mentioned courses various specialized courses are also conducted for specific requirements of group participants or institutions. Sometimes a customized set of various practices or specially designed package for a specific disease. Generally these courses are conducted on the campus of SSS Foundation in Malke but may be conducted on the campus of the institutions for their own group as well. There are a number of certified teachers and institutions who take care of SSKY workshops and sessions in other cities out of ashram. Though Maharaj Ji also visits such sessions but very occasionally. For course schedule and other such enquiries write to shabadsuratsangam@yahoo.com.
