Mid September. Recently, Shri Maharaj Ji along with Swami Suryendu Puri Ji, Sadhwi Yoganjali Chaitanya, devotees Baldev Singh and Baljeet Kaur visited Uttarkashi. Br. Guru Chaitanya has been living in solitude in the mountains of Uttarkashi since the beginning of this year. The purpose of Maharaj Ji’s visit was look for a place in the mountains suited to solitary practice. The regular devotees are well aware of the immensity of the goal of Mission Immortality and Maharaj Ji’s solitude routine, even at the Malke ashram, in the wake of this goal. As per Master, the atmosphere of the mountains is desirable for practice in ways more than one. On the most superficial level, the mountains are peaceful and pristine, the air clean and rejuvenating. But much more important than these more evident features, are the cycles of ascent and descent in the regions, especially where it snows, that simulate and stimulate similar cycles active within the body of a yogi. More about these concepts, some other time. Below we just leave you with some pictures that might awaken the freshness of the tranquil mountain life in you.
