8-16 October, Malke Ashram -The lead up to Dusshera at the Ashram saw extensive preparation, both internal and external, by the inmates as they fasted and read passages daily from the Ramcharit manas of Saint Tulsidas; besides making arrangements for the warm stay of the participants of Dusshera celebrations and the following mediation camp. Adding glitter to the gold, Maharaj Ji too would come out from his solitude every evening and lead a session on inspired chanting of Vedic mantras.
