14 January 2019, Dera Harisar, Kila Raipur: After the warmth of Lohri festivities on the night before, the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti was here. Addressing the devotees who had gathered around to seek the blessings, Sadhvi Ji shared the basic concept behind celebrating the festivals, and how with time it’s losing it’s gist because we are not faithful towards our sole goal i.e., being one with The One while marching on the divine journey within. Let’s embrace the truth!

A glimpse of the divine discourse:

okkkWell, as we know that with time we are getting busier and busier and therefore have got less time for ourselves. Taking some time out of the busy schedule, and choosing to relax by celebrating the respective festivals soothes our mind and soul. This is just one side of it, i.e. some fancy clothing, eating, dancing and that’s it. However, there’s a hidden side to it as well. If we could actually connect with the underneath meaning of the respective festival, it would be icing on the cake because that’s the whole point of celebrating them at the first place – to take us a step forth our sole goal. But, we are least bothered! We do say once in a while that we want Him but it is only our desires that we need to get fulfilled by a formal bow or by practicing some fast.

Earlier it was a belief that human remembers him only during hardships. However today, we neither remember him during hardships nor in festivities. In hardships we claim to be tensed enough about the problem and its desired solutions; in festivities we are worried about just in case reoccurrence of the problem takes place then what shall we do!

Only the one who has got his or eyes straight over our sole goal, get to rise beyond these trivialities. For this, company of saints is suggested to be embraced wholeheartedly. This doesn’t just confine to spending some hours with them once in a while; in true sense, it means to embrace what they say. And the one thing that Guru says for one and all is consistent and persistent practice of Guru-mantra, the only eternal solution to be it anything.
