16 September 2021, Dera Harisar, Kila Raipur: With the onset of Assu month (as per the Nanakshahi calendar), devotees gathered around to re-fuel their mental engine to speed up on the path to the ultimate destination. A keynote principle to hold on to while we are on this journey was the center point of the Satsang-Sabha addressed by Sadhvi Yoganjali Chaitanya Puri Ji. In Her Words…
“In our world of 2-3 day shipping, Google search, and instant messaging, patience is a scarce commodity. We don’t like to wait for 5 minutes and get frustrated if we don’t get the desired output. Our attitude nowadays is – “I want it all, and I want it now.” However, when it comes to long-term aspirations, we might have to be prepared to wait for months or even years. And if we don’t have patience, we are likely to not accomplish them.
Likewise, the journey to our true self is long and demands a continuous and reverent approach; as also proclaimed by a Yog Sutra of Patanjali – स तु दीर्घकाल नैरन्तर्य सत्कारादरासेवितो दृढभूमिः॥ Our eyes must be focused on the goal alone. Let the ever-marching feet be a synonym of our physical strength and mental vigor. Because even if one of these (eyes or feet) happens to lose track, it simply won’t work. While at it, at times, we are bound to feel tired. And, get disheartened too. But still, we must not give up. For the warriors, the golden yet demanding principle to get through is – ‘Patience pays’.”
